How is it possible to have a swarm of butterflies lifting off in my heart and a stone the size of a boulder sitting right under them?

“You look amazing,” Bolt says and crooks me his arm to walk me into the hired room.

The tables are laid up for dinner and there’s a dais at the front of the room standing in for the arbor Scherri and Steele will be married beneath in the morning. The wedding is outside in a beautiful wooded location beside the lake close to the house. Scherri wanted the decoration to be a surprise so the rehearsal is in a bland event room in back of a big restaurant.

“I have to stand up by my sister,” I whisper. “You sit here.”

Bolt ignores me and continues his steady path, walking me down the aisle to wait at the altar. So this is how it would feel. I love the sensation of walking up on his arm, the sense of having my own guy to lean on and especially a guy like this. All the faces turn to gaze at us and I notice the smiles.

We must be a cute couple.

I steal a glance up at Bolt and he’s grinning hugely, nodding a greeting here and there to the aunties. Wow they’ve all fallen for him big time. I’m going to have a rotten time explaining all this after the weekend.

“You have to sit down,” I hiss. He’s going to ruin the planned running schedule.

“The groom’s man gets to stand up front with the bridesmaid,” he whispers from one side of that mouth I can’t stop re-visioning stuck to my pussy.

“Are you -?”

He doesn’t reply, just gazes straight ahead with that gorgeous hunk grin he rocks so effortlessly. Now it comes with a beatific hint of triumph.

“Don’t get any ideas,” I hiss from the side of my lips.

He just grins harder and filthier too.

I know what he’s thinking and it becomes difficult to walk a straight line, even leaning into him. My legs are wobbling and my clit starts to throb uncontrollably. Christ, how I wish I was the one getting a honeymoon night with this hunk of decadent male.

Steele comes down the pretend aisle created between the tables and then we wait for Scherri. He’s visibly nervous but a nudge and grin from Bolt makes him relax.

And then she appears at his side and it looks as though his world is perfect. It’s only the rehearsal but tears prick at the back of my eyes and I just know I’m going to completely lose it tomorrow at the real thing.

I look up at Bolt, standing solid behind Steele and he gives me the most amazing smile. It’s not his usual cocky grin, or the flirtatious charming one that reels in every woman from nine to ninety. This one is filled with genuine warmth and imparts a feeling of support and collusion that tears at my heart and makes those butterflies lift off again.
